Someone Like You       135 bpm                      MP3 Sample

Giving into the loneliness, penetrated by chemicals.
When words you speak are of no interest.
Try to escape the reflection, this infection.
Devoid of consciousness, and redemption.

Tell me, what will you do? It won't be so easy.
When there's nothing to hold onto.
You can regret what you've done to me, but there's no sympathy.
For someone like you.

Your replacement was easier than healing.
Yet there's no way, to calculate. The trauma in losing.
An eternity of suffering.
I took it head on. They'll see how far I've come.

Someone Like You was written about the personal trials I endured
during the spring and summer of 2002 as we released our Debut
album Evaporate.

In a time when I should have been on top of the world, we had lost
Matt Coker. I lost my wife and son. I lost my job, and my whole life
was falling apart. The only thing I truly had was Leslie Hyman, Kelly
Wilkins & Provision.

I had to figure out how to get my life back together, and heal myself
from everything that I had endured. It took me almost 2 and a half
years to look back and reflect on those times, to be able to write this
song.

A video for Someone Like You will appear on our upcoming
DVD titled Visionary.
