Replicate was the 1st song I wrote for my son Bastian.
I wrote the verses just 7 days before he was born. I did not know
when he was going to come into the world, but I had already begun
to put into words; what it was like inside my mind as I prepared to
become a father.

The chorus lyrics were finally written when the song went through
pre-production on 11-30-03. The chorus reflects how I see Bastian,
as being a copy of who I am; and all that will truly remain one day
when I am gone. In a crazy ironic twist, my 2nd son Simon was born
on 11-30, 3 years later.

Replicate was released as an Exclusive B-Side, and only appears on
the Bonus Remix disc with the Visualize Limited Edition released by
A Different Drum.

Replicate has never been performed live.
