My Only Question     135 bpm                  MP3 Sample

Is this another test I’ve failed? I only want to make this right.
It’s you I’ve come to rely on. I’m more than just another shoulder to
cry on. Yet I can feel us moving apart. The separation of another
lonely night. Intertwined with memories of passion.
Now what's the worst that can happen?

What can I find inside me? How do I get within myself? To share
these feelings that you cannot find with anybody else. How do you
feel when I’m not there. What do I do to drag you down?
My only question, do you care if I am here or not around?

You’re so aware of the apparent love at hand. Yet your soul won’t
seem to follow. We’re slipping through the hands of fate. Make up
your mind before it’s too late. I’m on a quest in a search for answers.
Perhaps the ones that now escape us. When will you look into my
eyes. Or must I leave to make you realize?

Musik & Lyrics 7-12/13-01
By: Breye Kiser, Matt Coker & Leslie Hyman for Provision Musik

Recorded and Produced at Red Square Digital
by Breye Kiser & Leslie Hyman
Mastered by Red Flag at Der Galf Labs.

My Only Question was written around the lead synth part in the
chorus that Matt wrote, and a few scratch lyrics that he had done one
night at work. I constructed the majority of the song around the
basslines that Leslie and I had written, to back up his chorus lead.
The rest of the song just kind of came naturally and I was inspired to
finish the lyrics from the premise of what Matt had written.

My Only Question remains one of our most popular songs ever, it still
receives club and radio play; and has been played all over the world.

One of my mentors, DJ Mike Snow once told me that if we had
released this song in the early 90's we'd have been very famous. In a
lot of ways, and with much thanx to all of our fans I think we already
are.

This is my dad's favorite Provision song.
