Flood of Emotion was one of the final songs to be written for our 2nd
album Visualize. It would become the final song on the album in
both the Limited Edition and White Label versions as we could not
have ended the story of Visualize with a more perfect song.

Flood of Emotion is rumoured to be a true story from my personal
life; or perhaps a message that I wanted to send to someone who
had wronged me. Neither of which is true.

This song was inspired by the movie The Butterfly Effect. At the time
the movie was released I was going through a divorce, and my life
was changing so fast that I almost couldn't keep up. I wondered
about many things during this time such as my regrets, growing up,
my accomplishments, and what my future would be like.
I think that many of us often ask "what if" and wonder if maybe we
should have taken that chance, or sometimes wish we could just go
back and change things. When all of this comes to a head, this is a
Flood of Emotion.

This has always been one of the most powerful Provision songs, and
a favorite of all the band members who have ever performed it.
Flood of Emotion has been performed live at almost every Provision
show since early 2004 and was the closer on the Visualize U.S. Tour
in 2004 and 2005.
