Behind Your Disguise was written for Jen in reference to when we
first started dating in 2002. I had just come out of a marriage, and
there were many terrible rumours circulating about me in Houston at
this time. I lost a lot of friends when my marriage ended, and it's
sad that some choose to believe the lies; but I was determined to
win Jen's heart no matter the cost. It took 2 years for me to realize
what I went through during that time, and this song was my gift to
Jen; to explain to her how I felt about us when we first came
together.
